Dance Challenge™

Dance Challenge performance

Our Dance Challenge™ projects are nationally renowned year-round dance competitions that we organise for school and youth groups in every dance style from street to tap.

Our juries of renowned choreographers award prizes and free dance tuition to winners, giving young people recognition for their talent and hard work.

Dance Challenges are being created in towns, cities and regions nationwide with heats and finals hosted in prestigious venues, such as Wembley Arena.

The project has grown from 140 participants for one show in 2005 to more than 1,000 in five different events in 2008.

Suitable for: Ages 5-26
Fees: £60 team registration. £12.50 each participant. Minimum of 5 members per team.

Dance Prodigies

Adult dance performers

Dance Prodigies is our dance company of professional dancers, and selected young people who have performed exceptionally in Dance Challenge™.

The company members work intensively for six weeks, and perform at theatres, schools and community venues nationwide. Entry by audition.

Suitable for: Young people aged 6-18 who want to expand their dance practice and stage experience by working with professionals. Entry by audition.
Fees: Starting from only £6.50 per participant, per hour per successful entrant for 10 sessions of 1.5 hours each

European Youth Folk Festival (EYFF)

Festival performance tentA yearly gathering and presentation for young people from different European countries. The participants display their national heritage through a visual exhibition, exchange knowledge with other participants of their national heritage through workshops, take part in discussions about their countries history and heritage and participate in stage performances with their national songs, costumes, music and dance.

Suitable for: 5-26 years old
Fees: Free to participants (subject to funding)
Duration: Training throughout the year and festival during September

 

London International Folk Festival (LIFF)

European folk troupA yearly festival where Folk Companies from the UK and other countries appear in London to celebrate their national heritage. This event includes artistic companies from different minority communities living and working in London and the UK.

Fees: Free to participants (subject to funding)
Duration: 5-10 days
